Core Programs

Downtown Languages provides educational programs that expand the language and lifeskills of immigrants. This includes a range of affordable classes in English as a Second Language (ESL), U.S. citizenship and civics, literacy classes in English and Spanish, and bilingual computer classes. These courses help our students gain the language, work skills and cultural knowledge they need to succeed in American society.

We also offer programs that prepare students to enter a General Education Diploma (GED) program, and the Plaza Comunitaria program, where students earn their primary and secondary diplomas from Mexico.

"I like how the teacher explains things in class and answers our questions, even if they're not on topic."
